Hello,
I am Reve', the host mother whom you will be staying with in July. We look forward to meeting you and showing you our culture and helping you experience Minnesota during your stay.
If you email back to me please email revesmail@daytonmn.net not this email as it is at my place of employment and I don't use it often.
When you come please bring some shoes for walking as we like to go walking almost every day. The weather will be warm but we can get an occasional cool day, so I would advise bringing a light jacket or sweater. Also bring a swimming suit if we go boating and swimming in a lake. We will also be hosting an exchange student from Ghana West Africa and she will come sometime in August so there may be some overlap while you are here with us. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom, we will teach you how to use the washing machine to launder your clothing. Our house is big and now very empty because our two sons moved out and Craigs mother who lived with us for 10 years passed away in February.
Craig told me that he gave you our address so you can look up our house on the satalite. We have a large property in the country but are close to shopping areas. We have bike trails and walking trails across the road from our home.
I will tell you alittle about myself, I am 49 years old and work as a nurse at the children's hospital in Minneapolis.
I love to be around children, so I teach a Sunday school class on Sunday before our church service. I am transitioning in life to having adult children that are no longer in the home, and we have only Rachel at home now. I like to garden and have some nice flower gardens in our yard, I am also a good cook but probably cook very different than what you are accustom. We would like to try some of your food and we will introduce you to some of our foods. We do not eat alot of rice but in the summer eat a lot of fresh fruit, salads and grill meat on our Barbique grill. (like chicken, beef ect) I like to bike ride and walkl for exercise, I also like to read and spend time every day reading my Bible. We are a Christian family, and We do attend church weekly as a family and would like very much if you would attend church with us on Sunday. It is a very good movie. John Newton was a slave trader who realized what he was doing was evil. He wrote the hymn Amazing Grace after he repented. Do most movies get translated to Japanese? If you can rent it on DVD I would recommend it.
We like many different kinds of food. We like spicy and sweet food and I will try almost anything. Reve and I have had Sashimi ( 刺身) and I liked it. I don't think Rachel would eat it though! But I am sure she would like most other Japanese food. Do you like American food?

We have three children. Chris is 24 and just bought his own house and
lives near us. Paul is 21 and got married to Amy on June 20. Rachel is
16 and still lives with us. We also have two dogs, Paige and Abbey,

We like sports but are not very good at any. We do like to bike ride
and take walks with the dogs. We have a boat and if you like we can go
